Vinted fresh hell. Can anyone help?

I bought an item on Vinted about half an hour ago. About five minutes after I purchased I got an email to say that the sale has been cancelled and I will receive a refund.

I was gutted as the item has been bought as a gift (it was BNWT and perfect for the recipient) and so thought I'd email the seller to see if I could see what the issue is. But Vinted gives no option to message seller and if I click on any of their other items there is no "buy" button but there is a "follow" one (so presumably I am not blocked by them) and the cancellation reason says "order manually cancelled by vinted". Seller has great reviews and was last online before both the sale and cancellation.

Do I just wait to see if the relist? Item was bought for a July birthday, so.I can afford to hang on for a bit.

Don't give up hope yet. I have had all sorted of issues with the Vinted app the last couple of days that never happened before. Had to keep cancelling a sale as it wouldn't let me issue the postage label. Are you sure you can't message the seller?

Thanks, that's really good to know.
There is absolutely no option to message her, but if I click on someone else's random listing there is. I've tried hitting the follow button for the seller but that doesn't seem to do anything either.

Generally if this happens it’s because the item was on another platform and has sold but seller forgot to update Vinted. Irritating yes but not much you can do if item doesn’t exist anymore

I was using the desktop version but I have switched to the app. I can now see the ask seller button but when I hit it I get a message saying "access denied" . This suggests they've blocked me, but I can still see all their listings (although no buy option available) and they still show up in a members search. Which I though didn't happen if you were blocked.
As I said, they have lots reviews and followers. I can't see why they'd block me, I didn't even make an offer. Just paid full price.

It’s annoying but you can’t really trust it till you actually see the item in person, a bit like online dating 🤣

Haha true.
I'm baffled by Vinted cancelling rather than the seller (when I've had this before it usually says sale manually cancelled by seller) and that they weren't even online when it was cancelled.
