Gave done the majority of my switch today. Goodbye jumpers and thermals and hello summer dresses.

Everything just stays accessible in mine all year round.

mynameiscalypso · 19/04/2026 15:54

I did most of mine on Easter Monday albeit kept out one big jumper and all my basic Uniqlo jumpers as I tend to wear them year round in the office.

cramptramp · 19/04/2026 16:03

No. Everything including t shirts hang in my wardrobes all year round. Thank goodness. I’ve just put a jumper on over my sweatshirt because it’s so cold in my house.

Allseeingallknowing · 19/04/2026 16:11

Everything stays rammed and
crushed in my wardrobe all year long!

Hedjwitch · 19/04/2026 16:15

No
All my clothes stay in the same space

RudolphTheReindeer · 19/04/2026 16:25

No. I don't own so many clothes I need to switch them for different seasons

Bunnyofhope · 19/04/2026 16:26

1st of April. Ready or not.

Lumenade · 19/04/2026 16:32

Yep

just awaiting the vacuum bags for the woolly jumpers and winter PJs so they can go in the loft. Winter duvet been washed and stored away.

Tiddlywinks63 · 19/04/2026 16:49

I hadn’t actually thought about it to be honest, it’s not that warm here today.
Maybe something to do this week?

MiddleAgedDread · 19/04/2026 16:51

The what??

SoScarletItWas · 19/04/2026 16:52

I’ve never done this before. Everything is squished in the wardrobe all year round.

Well! I did it just yesterday, put knit and heavier dresses and trousers in vacuum bags; opaque tights away as well - and OMG I feel super organised and looking forward to swishing my spring/summer stuff out now I can actually see what I’ve got.

socks1107 · 19/04/2026 16:52

Yes I did most of mine over Easter. We’d just been away so a lot of my summer stuff was already out so just needed to pack away winter to make room as I washed and ironed it

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 19/04/2026 16:54

I don't switch my wardrobe, I just take my vest off.

But then I wear pretty much the same all year round anyway. Sometimes I put an extra cardi on.

Boxiboxi21 · 19/04/2026 16:55

Its 10 degrees outside and 15.5 degrees in my living room so no

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 19/04/2026 16:56

On it now

toddlermom1 · 19/04/2026 16:59

Can anyone recommend good quality vacuum bags for seasonal clothes?

NoYouCantComeToTheWedding · 19/04/2026 17:00

My what now?!

Summerhillsquare · 19/04/2026 17:01

Too cold here still but aiming for the elusive capsule wardrobe this summer.

Justmight · 19/04/2026 17:01

Not yet as I have been cold. I’ve got the sandals out but not worn them yet. I do switch my clothes around as I don’t have room in my wardrobe for everything.

MediumHigh · 19/04/2026 17:03

I have separate wardrobes for each season.
I can't believe others haven't thought of this?

museumum · 19/04/2026 17:04

No. I live in Scotland. I have “holiday abroad” clothes and “four seasons in one day” home clothes.

applecrumblespider · 19/04/2026 17:08

Yes have just been doing it this week (although the winter stuff hasn't quite been packed away yet). Sunny and warm(ish) here. I only have a standard wardrobe and chest of drawers shared with DH - I don't think I have THAT many clothes. If I had wall to wall storage or a second wardrobe then of course I wouldn't need to pack things away!

EffervescenceSmallUmbrella · 19/04/2026 17:09

Nope.
For one it’s not very warm here. I put a t-shirt on this morning and within half an hour went back up for a jumper to put over it.
Secondly I have enough storage so that there’s room for everything. Which suits me and the inconsistent weather as everything is available when it’s needed.

Echobelly · 19/04/2026 17:13

Kind of half done it - I'm probably going to put away knitted dresses and the like this evening, but not taking out shorts and short summer dresses yet. T shirts and jumpers just stay in their respective drawers all year, but dresses, skirts and trousers do get swapped out between bedroom and spare room.

SisterTeatime · 19/04/2026 17:13

I Kondo’d my clothes yesterday and have decided to follow her advice and not put away my winter clothes this year. I might vacuum pack my jumpers though, in case of moths. I’m going to try and wash things more so I don’t need as much, as I end up doing things like keeping old t-shirts for the gym and then I have nine rubbish old t-shirts I don’t like wearing when I could have two. Then I downgrade them to DIY clothes and on it goes! So all that space-hogging crap has been severely reduced.
