Checking in with a name change. Thanks @IlovePond - nothing Toast-y to report yet but looking forward to the new thread x

AmethystMoonShine · 25/02/2026 17:24

Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond and condolences about the yoga mat. I very much remember coatgate! Just as well you love him.

ScottishMouse · 25/02/2026 17:27

Thanks @IlovePond! New things coming on March 5th apparently according to a pal who visited a store today.

Snowyowl78 · 25/02/2026 17:29

I’ve ordered the Frankie coat and the stripe pantry shirt which are coming Friday! Frankie in Large we reviews said size up and shirt in a M and L as there are mixed reviews. Trialing out the Harper thing.

Countmeout · 25/02/2026 17:31

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond . At least it wasn’t another coat! The yoga mat maybe easier to replace.

Looking forward to the 5th March. Hope it’s not disappointing.

Thanks @IlovePond looking forward to March 5th

OftenOrange · 25/02/2026 18:19

@IlovePond Thanks for starting the thread especially in light of Matgate.

IlovePond · 25/02/2026 18:41

😹@OftenOrange

Just checked my coat, which seems intact - thank goodness!

Looking forward to getting my spring Toast clothes out at last. It was a beautiful day here today - lots of daffodils and snowdrops- made me feel all spring-like and optimistic!

Lovely new thread thanks @IlovePond

Menopause weight gain is real here too. I only weigh myself twice a year - at the surgery together with blood pressure to get my HRT and last week lo and behold I am yet again heavier than the time before. I took off as many clothes as was possible in a fairly busy waiting room 🙂 but still a few pounds more.

I don’t mind too much but I am conscious of it now where I have previously been lucky enough to never think about it.

I like things a bit oversized, no tightness around my tummy, which is why I love TOAST denim dresses, the structure of them is perfect for me. I thought I had my style nailed but have recently wavered and feel a bit lost again.

faustina · 25/02/2026 19:48

Thank you @IlovePond for the shiny new thread and here's hoping your very hungry Ddog just admires the spring flowers and everything else from now on (from a distance)

@ScottishMouse - I really dislike fitted clothes, especially tops because I don't find it comfortable

Has anyone ever tried something called bubble trousers from Sahara? They're following me around social media and they look quite nice

Stoic123 · 25/02/2026 19:58

Thanks for new thread & sorry for yoga mat @IlovePond

ScallopShellWalk · 25/02/2026 20:08

Thank you for the new thread @IlovePond feeling spring here too. Glad ur coat survived. Poor pooch.

ScottishMouse · 25/02/2026 20:58

@mizu I have not weighed myself in a few years! I dread to think what I weigh now. I also spent most of my life not having to think about my weight at all, and never realised how lucky I was.

IlovePond · 26/02/2026 00:10

DDog was extremely pleased to see us when we got back, but bordering on hysteria, so DH had to take him on a very long walk in the woods to calm down!

He spent the rest of the evening snoring adorably - he’s had a hard day!

I am hoping there are some nice Toastie things in for spring!

Our Ddog is a terrible dog, but so far he hasn’t eaten any clothes! I’m keeping him well way from the Pond menace and her dangerous ideas.

Next week I get to visit a Toast shop! I’m going to try on the pantry striped shirt.

Countmeout · 26/02/2026 09:45

I liked the look of those bubble trousers from Sahara too @faustina but not sure if either fit or material. Hope to hear if someone has tried them.

The elastic has given way on a pair of Alex linen trousers which I pulled out optimistically earlier this week. I think I can replace it but a bit of an annoyance.

ScottishMouse · 26/02/2026 09:59

@Countmeout that is annoying, but just to say that I have replaced the elastic in a pair of Alix before and it was relatively straightforward.

Countmeout · 26/02/2026 10:57

Thanks @ScottishMouse . Fingers crossed.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 26/02/2026 14:03

Thanks for the new thread @IlovePond . One of my Ddogs has just discovered the joys of spring 🙄, for various reasons he was never neutered and we get a few weeks of silly behaviour every spring.

I have ordered the blueberry linen tunic dress but now I’m wondering if it will be too similar to my denim dresses.

ScallopShellWalk · 26/02/2026 18:18

@Theteapotsbrokenspout i tried on the blueberry tunic and I liked it but it was so different for me that I didn’t buy it, I’m still not sure. I keep wondering about the collar, in that I wonder if it’ll be too warm. Unless it’s worn on cooler days.

Countmeout · 26/02/2026 19:01

I have the linen blueberry dress. @ScallopShellWalk @Theteapotsbrokenspout I
figured it was for a sort of normal spring /summer day, not particularly warm here. I has a moment of doubt about the collar but I had the collar taken off the green striped dress from a couple of years ago so thought that would be possible if necessary. It was left with a sort of grandad collar and I have worn it more often since getting it done.

ScottishMouse · 27/02/2026 08:58

Wondering if anyone has the Blundstone clogs and has worn them quite a bit. Do they get easier to keep on once they have broken in? I would really like them for spring, finding that my Blundstone boots are the only really comfortable shoes I have these days (I have foot issues), but I find shoes without backs hard to keep on.
(I may have asked this before, but I can’t find it if I did. Apologies if I did!)

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 27/02/2026 13:35

My blueberry tunic arrived. Still undecided, I like the shape and colour, but I’m still wondering if it’s too similar to my multitude of denim dresses. Also it looks as if it will crease really badly. At over £200 I need to be sure.

And anyway I would need to send this one back and reorder as the buttonhole placket is not stitched straight and bulges out to one side.

I think I might wait to see what’s in the new drop promised next week.

ScottishMouse · 27/02/2026 14:49

That’s annoying @Theteapotsbrokenspout I feel like more and more with Toast I am finding small quality issues. Quite a few times recently I have received items that have something a bit off in one way or another and I would have to reorder if I wanted to keep the item. I don’t think for these prices this should be the case, and I don’t think it is the case with other brands at a similar price point. I will admit that I am very fussy about things like wonky stitching or uneven sleeve lengths or something not hanging right, but I don’t think it’s crazy to expect very high quality at these prices, and it just isn’t always there.
