If you could choose your perfect combination of 3 children, what would it be?

And in which order? Boys/Girls? What do you think is most harmonious from your own or other's experience? Just out of sheer curiosity really!!

3 boys. But ideally 2. No girls at all.

RandomMess · 25/09/2015 15:23

Erm harmony comes from having naturally compliant and easy going dc regardless of gender and ages!

HedgieRobin · 25/09/2015 15:25

I'd love a boy, then a girl (or two) but from working in childcare I know that in general boys are much lower maintenance than girls!

Two boys and a girl last.

AndNowItsSeven · 25/09/2015 15:28

I had three girls before ds , I really did not want a boy as embarrassingly I believed the stereotypes. No I realise gender makes no difference at all to " harmony".
There is no perfect order.

WaitingForEgg · 25/09/2015 15:35

2 boys then a girl last for me I think

Huntthepigsear · 25/09/2015 15:39

Three boys, as that is what I have.
If I had had any other combination, then I am sure I would think that was the perfect combination as well.

slightlyconfused85 · 25/09/2015 18:43

I would have liked girl girl boy, but now I dont want a third child at all! I've got a girl and a boy so it wouldn't have worked anyway Grin

BoboChic · 25/09/2015 18:47

I know lots of boy/boy/girl or even boy/boy/boy/girl families. Dreadful sexist stereotype but I think younger sisters are great for boys and older brothers are great for girls.

CPtart · 25/09/2015 18:48

Girl, boy, girl

SevenSeconds · 25/09/2015 18:53

I've got boy girl boy and I think it works well. Maybe having the opposite sex in the middle means less competitiveness between the ones closest in age?

yeOldeTrout · 25/09/2015 18:53

BGG. Didn't get it, of course.

Scarletforya · 25/09/2015 18:55

Three girls.

Fugghetaboutit · 25/09/2015 18:56

How are boys lower maintenance exactly?

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 25/09/2015 18:57

I have boy girl girl and mystery baby #4 on the way.

Hamsternaut · 25/09/2015 19:11

I have boy girl boy...like Seven I think it breaks it up and stops the competitiveness- although they still bicker. I do think it's a pretty good combo I might be biased though!

A cavachon
A Podengo
A wire haired daschund

Tiggeryoubastard · 25/09/2015 19:29

Exactly what huntthebear said. I love having my 3 (now grown up) boys. But whatever is have had would have been perfect. When the oldest got married I had a pang as I'd never take a daughter to choose a wedding dress, but that's the only time I've felt like that. Though i have wondered how different the dynamic would be if one had been a girl. And DIL ended up asking me to go with her and her mum and sister to help choose her dress anyway.

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2015 19:31

I can confess that I was secretly glad I had two boys because once I had one I wanted another and not a girl.

I had a brief moment of realising I would never be mother of the bride etc. But I got over it.

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 25/09/2015 19:33

My preference would be to have 3 healthy children. When you have a child with chronic health problems you realise that gender is really not important.

Finallyonboard · 25/09/2015 19:37

Three girls.

Jo4040 · 25/09/2015 19:38

I have two boys. A four year old and a 9 month old.

I'm aching for a girl. It's all I think about. I think if I was to ha e another I would have to grieve for the girl I'll never have. I love my two boys to bits and wouldntt swap em. I just crave a daughter.

I just will never be satisfied without one.

Iv never admitted this in RL, except to my DP, who says he will never have another child with me unless I can loose this attitude.

It's all I think about.

zoemaguire · 25/09/2015 19:40

I have gbg and they get on (mostly) like a house on fire.

I suffer with anxiety (badly) but never thought I could be a sufferer of depression.

Your right, I don't know them yet...I just remember being a little girl myself...the believing in fairies, playing school etc...I just can't get enthusiastic about...minions or piggin Paw patrol. I just need a daughter then I'll be done.

Iv just told my DS the story of little red riding hood and all he wanted to talk about was the woodcutter cutting and killing the wolf with his axe. For goodness sake...I love him so much for this but a part of me just wanted to talk about...the cloak...the cottage...the basket of treats...

I know having a girl doesn't automatically mean she would be interested in this...but she would be my girl... I miss being a little girl and I want to give it all back to my daughter
