Obviously different when you have children but I’ve seen a lot of single people constantly uploading to Vinted

You need to get out more.

Shock horror people like clothes.

Strandas · 29/05/2026 14:45

So you can only have a wardrobe clear out if you have children?!

NotTheOrdinary · 29/05/2026 14:47

What a strange thing to think.

Sometimesthere · 29/05/2026 14:47

What a weird take

Maybe personally I find it weird when people with lots of kids have stuff to sell. Childless adults have the disposable income to be regularly updating their wardrobe and homes after all.

dingle people are allowed to have belongings too you know. They are also allowed to replace those belongings.

Nanda66 · 29/05/2026 14:47

How do you know whether people on Vinted are single?

TheMillionthBeautyAddict · 29/05/2026 14:47

I don’t get it…

Eh?

How is it odd that people who have more disposable income, may have lots of clothes?

Gigglegiggle · 29/05/2026 14:48

You know grown ups have clothes too...

Stoicandhappy · 29/05/2026 14:49

I’m single and have sold about £1500 of stuff on Vinted in the past year.

Why is this remotely surprising?

TheChosenTwo · 29/05/2026 14:49

Huh? I don’t really understand your point, are you getting at the fact that you think they might be stealing to sell since they don’t have children constantly outgrowing clothes to get rid of? Apologies if I’m getting the wrong end of the stick!
I have older dc and often stick some of my stuff on vinted because I don’t like it anymore or I know I’ll never wear it again or it just doesn’t fit me well now. I’ve never sold any of the DCs clothes though; they were donated or passed on.

Didimum · 29/05/2026 14:49

Not at all. Many people over consume.

Their clothes look sad and lonely? Or maybe free of the stains caused by small children?

Timeforaglassofwine · 29/05/2026 14:50

My dc does this for uni spending money. It's just recycling!

FieryA · 29/05/2026 14:50

What stupidity is this? Firstly, how do you know people's marital status on Vinted? Secondly, what do you mean its odd?- everyone wears clothes.

This made me laugh out loud!

pcba · 29/05/2026 14:52

Just sold a heap of clothes on vinted no kids. things that arent my style anymore, things that dont fit anymore, things I dont want, dont think its that strange. Got rid a bunch of cookbooks as I dont use them anymore, all sorts of things. Decluttering and wanting some spare cash for things you no longer use, isnt something thats only for a certain demographic.

SpiralSister · 29/05/2026 14:53

Of all the things you could slag someone off about, this is the oddest.

A deeply, deeply weird post..

worldshottestmom · 29/05/2026 14:54

Nice ragebait, you got any more? I'm thinking how utterly shocking it is that some single women can afford to live alone, with all that time they have to spend in the kitchen.

bigboykitty · 29/05/2026 14:54

Please someone, make this make sense...

DaisyChain505 · 29/05/2026 14:55

People buy more than they need.

People buy something to wear for one occasion and don’t want to wear it again.

People put on or lose weight so need different clothes.

People change their mind about their style and what they like to wear.

Rachelshair · 29/05/2026 14:56

I don't think you need a husband to be on Vinted love 🤣

LimbOnTheTreeTheTreeInTheHoleTheHoleInTheGround · 29/05/2026 14:56

Hard agree.

Dp and I have a couples account on vinted and only sell HisNHers stuff so no one thinks I'm seling clothes as a single person.

The horror.

Simbathecat25 · 29/05/2026 15:03

These are people
that I know that post their links on social media. I meant it in the context I’m suprised people own so much that they clear out that much seems to have been taken another way

Only women on the bones of their arse should be allowed to sell items on vinted in future.
