Is this really that unusual? Leggings debate

My two besties have just left mine. Amongst the copious amounts of wine, we somehow got onto the subject of what we wear under leggings. As I thought was normal, my friend and I said we don’t wear anything, much to our others friend’s amazement! The leggings are tight enough without anything else 😂

Are we just weirdo’s or are you with us two?

Not wearing any underwear sounds really unhygienic.

TheWildZebra · 24/04/2026 23:01

Doesn’t it chafe…?

InLoveWithAI · 24/04/2026 23:02

Absolutely wear underwear

IsItBeesThoughLooshkin · 24/04/2026 23:02

I wear a thong.

Savoretti · 24/04/2026 23:03

🤢

ChickenBananaBanana · 24/04/2026 23:04

Ewww no all the juices sweat etc

Screamingabdabz · 24/04/2026 23:04

Jeez nothing is too tight to not wear underwear. Ugh. Grim. YABU.

heidihigh · 24/04/2026 23:06

I’d wear a thong to avoid VPL but absolutely not commando. Couldn’t think of anything worse 😵‍💫

Gardenquestion22 · 24/04/2026 23:06

Well underwear obviously. But I’m now realising just reading this how people manage the unfeasibly tight leggings.

7238SM · 24/04/2026 23:08

Do you go commando in all other day clothes or just leggings? 😝

doghasnodentures · 24/04/2026 23:09

Unhygienic in my world!

IDontFuckingThinkSo · 24/04/2026 23:09

Them being as tight as underwear is exactly why you need knickers on.

Do you not worry random discharge would soak through. My anxiety could never let me take such wild risks 😂😂

Imfukinradiant · 24/04/2026 23:10

Nothing under them. Very funny that somehow that is apparently unhygienic!
How dare someone wear the wrong piece of fabric against their genitals. The horrors!! 😂

LightYearsAgo · 24/04/2026 23:10

As in leggings you wear outside of the house? Wouldnt occur to me that made undies unnecessary

Hankunamatata · 24/04/2026 23:10

Gross. Of course you wear underwear. If your leggings are that tight, they are too tight

Imfukinradiant · 24/04/2026 23:13

Sometimes, yes. Depends on the fabric.

KristinaaTravels · 24/04/2026 23:14

We did wonder (our other friend got her taxi home first) if she doesn’t do the same as she’s a slightly plumper lady, but she said she wouldn’t even if she was a supermodel!

Can someone explain how this is unhygienic? I mean I do wear underwear under leggings but because of chafing. I don’t get the hygiene argument. Surely if you wash them after every wear it’s the same as knickers?

freedomformeismotherhood · 24/04/2026 23:14

Omg!

Knickers?!

Once saw a poor woman split her leggings but luckily she had underwear on! I get that some leggings are semi-sheer/show an outline, and some have knickers added, because there are a number of people who don't wear underwear but I'd always wear seamless knickers underneath.

I always would wash them every time I wear them, but some people will wear pants (as in leggings/jeans/trousers, whatever) more than once, so would probably find the idea of no underwear bad.

Growingaseed · 24/04/2026 23:16

I mean I would be worried you would get camel toe for a start...

I thought that, like they were hoping for lots of replies from women about how they love to wear tight leggings with no underwear…

Exactly. Only a bit gross if you wore them again without washing them.

Yes it really does, along with the reference to the slightly plumper friend. Grim.
