She recommends everyone else apart from me

Live in a close knit community, a lot of ‘Not what you know, but who you know’
A woman I provide a service for is very involved in all this and always giving recommendations when people ask on groups.
When people ask about my particular service, she never recommends me, but does for some
other services she uses.
It makes me wonder if she really doesn’t rate me that much

Who cares? She can recommend who she wants surely, maybe she just doesn’t rate your service..

OP, could be a case of it showing how highly she does rate you. For example I adore my hairdresser... And I don't want every Tom, dick, and Harry knowing my secret weapon, so I dont tell. I always tell ppl my aunt who is a hairdresser does it... But it's not her.

Im a massage therapist and clients say this to me i am really busy so they dont recommend me as they don't want it to be even harder to get an appointment 😂 does sort of annoy me though.

But you could interject in the chats? Casually and terribly Britishly mention you have one or two slots available?

I have one new client that’s recently recommended me to three of her friends saying how happy she is and I have lots of extra work, whereas I’ve been with them for years and nothing

That’s what I thought-is it something she’s embarrassed by using? Or something she doesn’t want other people to know (ie she pretends she does her own cleaning/gardening/cake making?!)

My hairdresser is fantastic but I don't recommend her to anyone as it's difficult enough get an appointment. I've even booked my December/Christmas appointment already.

Might be something like that.
