Do you feel sorry for Katie Price?

I know that she’s done some terrible things, but I can’t help but feel bad for Katie Price. Yes, I feel bad for her kids, pets, and family first and foremost, but sympathy is not a finite resource as I feel sad for her too.

In the noughties, she had the world at her feet. She made a success of herself out of no skills or qualifications. For a time, the public seemed to like her.

Seeing how far she’s fallen is tragic. With the right man or better friends, things could have turned out quite different I think?

No. She’s been through damaging experiences without doubt, but she has caused untold damage. She drags Harvey out to clubs and shows him on film for money when he can’t consent. She’s killed pets through her negligence. She could very easily have killed someone with her drunk/drug driving. She does have agency, she could control herself. She chooses what she does and I have very limited sympathy for her.

TheToteBagLady · 07/06/2026 14:30

Yes, because I think she’s clearly mentally unwell

fluffiphlox · 07/06/2026 14:31

No. She’s the architect of her own downfall

rubyslippers · 07/06/2026 14:36

No
her kids have suffered massively through her abysmal choices
and her drunk / drug driving is flagrant and repeated
she uses her disabled son (who can’t consent) for her social media content which is horrible

Lemonfrost · 07/06/2026 14:39

No I don't feel sorry for her. I wish the media would stop giving her the oxygen of publicity though, as then she would be far more likely to sort herself out.

pictoosh · 07/06/2026 14:41

No not really. She seems pretty determined to create a circus of the grotesque in public.

pickalillyspooon · 07/06/2026 14:43

Yes and no.

i feel incredibly angry and frustrated at her behaviour particularly the dead pets and drink diving.

But she is a tragic soul, she is to be pitied as well.

x2boys · 07/06/2026 14:43

No i used to think she was great with Harvey but there are no boundaries there
I remember they were on a day time tv show and she was going on sbout him wetting the bed , theres just no need
He might not have the capacity to undestsnd but what about his dignity ?
As a parent of a disabled child i care about his dignity even if he doesnt

Viviennemary · 07/06/2026 14:44

No. She does not behave like a responsible adult.

PolkaDotPorridge · 07/06/2026 14:44

Not one single bit. However, I DO feel very sorry for all the animals she’s killed and the ones she’s neglected. Also for her children. She is an absolutely repulsive, dreadful person.

ALovelyPinkUnicorn · 07/06/2026 14:45

All of the above. Why do you feel sorry for her @SixtySevenLabubus ?

x2boys · 07/06/2026 14:45

TheToteBagLady · 07/06/2026 14:30

Yes, because I think she’s clearly mentally unwell

In what way do you think shes mentally ill ?

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 07/06/2026 14:46

No.

She uses a disabled man for money. I know he’s her son, but he doesn’t deserve to be paraded around.

She’s a modern day PT Barnum.

KiwiFall · 07/06/2026 14:46

A little sympathy for certain aspects of her life but she has created the circus herself. Some of it is down to mental illness but mainly she loves a drama and as long as people are talking about her she doesn’t care what destruction she has to create to achieve that or who has to deal with the consequences. I don’t think the right man or better friends would have helped as she has a self destruct button regardless.

What mental illness?

Her reckless behaviour and her appearance

NeverLookInTheMirror · 07/06/2026 14:48

No. She’s always been a vile human being, long before she spent her life on social media building her profile as it were.

There were well documented occasions where she was seen screaming at Harvey when he was a tiny baby, the way she treated people she believed to be beneath her.

Fortunately she now only seems to really appear in the trashiest of tabloids and the likes of TikTok now, so she’s easy to avoid.

It’s her children I feel sorry for.

TheToteBagLady · 07/06/2026 14:47

Her reckless behaviour and her appearance

That doesnt mean shes mentally ill.

mixcross · 07/06/2026 14:49

I suppose I feel sad that she seems to be suffering and isn't happy. I always thought she should have made her money and then disappeared to do something else like run a stables or something given she loves horses. As it is I am led to believe her track record of caring for animals now isn't great. I think she must be quite mentally unstable in someway so I do feel sorry for her.

Meh. Mental illness is just a buzzword these days which everyone uses to brush away the most abhorrent behaviours.

This is the reason why so much mental illness is still so stigmatised. People cry “mental illness” every time someone acts terribly. Nobody is seemingly responsible for their own behaviour any more. And as a result people who genuinely are mentally ill are overlooked and avoided because mental illness is now seen as synonymous with being an awful person.

redboxerclub · 07/06/2026 14:52

Absolutely not. She is an awful human being. She had money and privilege and still abuses this. Mistreatment of animals, disgusting home, appalling treatment of her children and multiple toxic relationships. Yet still she makes money.

I hate celebrity culture in general though, probably not the target audience for this question.

But I cant stand her. She is bankrupt the rich then bankrupt. How can she keep doing this?

MovedlikeHarlowinMonteCarlo · 07/06/2026 14:54

No. I feel sorry for her kids and animals though.

BlackBean2023 · 07/06/2026 14:54

No. I feel desperately sad for her children - particularly the younger 2.

redboxerclub · 07/06/2026 14:56

She had £45 million and is now bankrupt.

Edited

She doesn’t seem to be suffering or unhappy. She wouldn’t disappear to run a stables as she craves publicity all the time. She doesn’t learn from her mistakes, and has ended up looking grotesque. She has managed to avoid prison with all her driving offences. If she’d gone to prison she’d have enjoyed being Queen bee, milked it for all it was worth and a documentary and book would soon follow.
