What's your favourite reform policy?

My favourite three are:

  1. Using public money to subsidize private health care, I really like this one because it will mean that I, a high earner who already gets private health care, will save at least 20% on my care and I don't really care if it means that there's less for others who need the NHS.
  2. Banning working from home. I hate how empty the office has become and I'm bored there now, there's no one to talk to. And I think wfh people are lazy.
  3. Taxing women who don't have children. The WHOLE PURPOSE of being a woman is to have kids! Not doing it is selfish.

What are your favourites?

Think you overshot there op

emuloc · 08/05/2026 08:42

Try harder OP, have a cup of tea, and a biscuit instead.

vodkaredbullgirl · 08/05/2026 08:44

🙄

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 08/05/2026 08:47

I’m excited for detention centres in green controlled councils!

Rhodesbride · 08/05/2026 08:49

Get back in bed op and switch the news off, today isn’t your day.

Somersetbaker · 08/05/2026 08:56

Shovel as much money as possible into their own pockets and dodging income tax. Looks like the only policy that Fartage and Tice believe in.

EveryKneeShallBow · 08/05/2026 08:58

I’m looking forward to benefits being cut for lazy sick people. And scrapping the motobility scheme so the roads aren’t so busy. And immigration being cut so that Scotland is even more empty.

vincettenoir · 08/05/2026 08:59

🤣

TheBeaTgoeson1 · 08/05/2026 09:05

Come on people it’s obviously sarcastic 🤣

rainbowstardrops · 08/05/2026 09:16

Lol! 😜

FinallyGotToo · 08/05/2026 09:18

Policy - do they have any?

Favourite sound bites.

Nigel Farage on his £5million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher
Harborne was “deeply concerned for my safety”. He also said the money was given so he could be “safe and secure for the rest of my life’ Goodness me, how many MP’s do we have? Not a problem giving them all gifts to keep them safe, but £5 million each is going to cost a fortune if they can’t find their own rich, selfless 😂, friends to fund them. Wish I had one!

Durham Council Leader ‘I am going to save ‘billions’ of the council budget’. His budget is £620 million. No detail of all the public services he will need to end, but as adult social care is the largest expense, pity the elderly requiring help.

The UK is being “overrun” by asylum seekers.
This ignores that most immigration into the UK comes through legal routes, particularly work and student visas. Home Office data has repeatedly shown students and workers make up far larger migration groups than asylum seekers

BCBird · 08/05/2026 09:19

This is a pee take surely?

FinallyGotToo · 08/05/2026 09:20

Oh, my comment above is hidden so the team at MN can look at it…that has never happened before in twenty years of using MN, I haven’t used any bad language. …media bias?

BCBird · 08/05/2026 09:20

Piqued my interest, tempted to see if these are actual policies. Heard about the detention areas on news.

BCBird · 08/05/2026 09:21

I had a comment removed once, no bad language, nothing offensive either. Was baffled

JennyForeigner · 08/05/2026 09:24

Bringing back fascism. Love the architecture.

ReignOfError · 08/05/2026 09:26

Tax the poor to support the rich. Definite vote winner.

Ultraalox · 08/05/2026 09:27

Clearly sarcastic post! 😆

I had a comment removed once because I called someone’s daughter a brat. The poster was stating all the awful things her teenage daughter was doing.
How offensive is the word brat to describe someone who’s showing brattish behaviour?!!! Hilarious.

ProudAmberTurtle · 08/05/2026 09:29

Not having open borders and taxing everyone to fund people with mild anxiety not working

Pinklightning · 08/05/2026 09:31

I really excited about cutting SEND funding and those detention centres sound like Mallory Towers. It will be such larks!

SirChenjins · 08/05/2026 09:33

Rather than inferring that everyone who voted for Reform is either an idiot, the devil incarnate, or somewhere along that continuum, it might be better to ask why people are voting for them and use that knowledge to push for change - because it's obvious that something has gone very wrong with the current situation.

HamToasties · 08/05/2026 09:34

Goady post alert by someone upset by this morning’s news.

dizzydizzydizzy · 08/05/2026 09:38

I can’t work out if your OP is serious or tongue in cheek. If it’s serious, I’m in despair.

I think Reform’s main policy is to make the rich richer and the poor poorer and to blame all problems on immigrants - the latter is what Hitler did. We never learn.

oldFoolMe · 08/05/2026 09:39

Looking forward to the concentration camps detention centres.
