Maybe a Freddo?

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/05/2026 20:47

Ha! Last time I bought a Freddo was when my children were young (say 15 to 20 years ago) and they were 10p!

They’re ridiculous now. Although probably not quite 70p, but I genuinely don’t know if you’d get 2 nowadays. I remember when they were 10p too!

thistimelastweek · 05/05/2026 20:52

3 carrots or 4 bananas

They're 30p each in my local shop. You could buy two, and have 10p change 😁

You definitely can’t afford your username

AnnaQuayRules · 05/05/2026 20:52

The price of a Freddo was a question at our local.pub quiz recently! I think the answer was 55p

cotswoldsgal1234 · 05/05/2026 20:52

A couple of packs of supermarket own biscuits!

scaredysquiggle · 05/05/2026 20:53

One red pepper in Morrisons

Sadcafe · 05/05/2026 20:53

Half of a second class stamp or maybe a single packet of crisps

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 05/05/2026 20:53

3 bananas, not in the best condition, but only if you come to my corner shop.

MrsLFii · 05/05/2026 20:54

A Lidl pink donut with some change

hahabahbag · 05/05/2026 20:54

a can of cheap beans and a roll in Lidl

Slowdownyouredoingfine · 05/05/2026 21:09

If we’re talking for food, I’d probably buy a single potato and bake it. Or maybe a pack of cheap noodles or pasta.

ClaredeBear · 05/05/2026 21:12

A CD in a charity shop done the road.

MNLurker1345 · 05/05/2026 21:15

When will you be in a situation when this is multiplied by 10 or 100?

Octavia64 · 05/05/2026 21:41

Not a wispa.

bloody appalled by the price last week

WhereHasMyPlanetGone · 05/05/2026 21:53

I bought a pack of 4 white chocolate chip cookies (reduced in the Co-Op) today for 70p.

CloudyBayPlease · 05/05/2026 21:59

I actually have no idea. A pint of milk? A Big Issue? I’ve not used cash for so many years I have no idea what things cost.

Only 2.5 bananas from the Co-op here (27p each)

Edited

You really are out of date. The Big Issue costs a fiver now.

Two packs of asda own biscuits OP, but I hope you have access to more money than this.
