She cut her teeth at the Guardian, where she published hotel reviews and features, and managed the travel section's user review site, Been there. She has written for top travel brands including Four Seasons Magazine, Visit Britain, Visit London and Cruise Critic, and worked as a Senior Editor at Jetsetter, where she covered hotel reviews and features across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
She was TripSavvy’s London Travel Expert between 2016 and 2018. Her work has also featured in publications including Expert Reviews, Den of Geek, Coach and The Week.
She has served on the judging panel at the Guardian Travel Awards, Jetsetter’s Best of the Best Awards and International Traveller’s 100 Best Hotels and Resorts Awards.
A mum of two, Rachel enjoys seeking out fun things to do and cool places to travel to with her family. In her spare time, Rachel volunteers at her local Junior Parkrun and loves gigs, pubs, quizzes and afternoon tea, but is most likely to be found at a playground close to home.
At Mumsnet, she has written reviews including Fowey Hall Hotel, Eurocamp Duinrell and Combe Haven Holiday Park, and features ranging from the best UK family holiday destinations to the best ways to keep kids entertained on a plane.
