For an easy, on-the-go way to warm up your feet, you can’t go wrong with these HotHands Foot Warmers. Simply open up the packet and peel off a paper strip, before sticking the warmer to your sock. Activated by air, we started to feel the impressive heat from them within a few seconds when we tested them out, and they provided a nice gentle warmth for around five hours.
Once the warmers were on our socks, we could pop on our shoes and go about our day as normal, which made them a great choice for using outdoors. They weren't too obtrusive either, though we could feel a little extra padding around the toes.
On the downside though, these single-use warmers may not be the most eco-friendly option, but we found them really convenient and cheap, costing just 75p per use. However, the expense could soon rack up if you're using them frequently, so we think they're better suited to sporadic use on chilly days rather than for everyday wear.

You can get toasty toes in no time with these fully microwaveable slippers. We found them super easy to use; we just needed to pop the whole pair into the microwave for a minute to get them perfectly warm before slipping them onto our feet. We loved the calming lavender/wheat scent as they warmed up, and found that they were ideal for soothing our senses at the end of a busy day.
The Warmies were a little heavy for walking around the house, but they made a great addition when curling up on the sofa or working from home during cold weather. While they don’t stay warm for as long as electric foot warmers (they lasted for about 30 minutes, which is standard for this style of slipper), they provided a comforting hit of heat on chilly days, making them a toasty upgrade on regular women’s slippers and thermal socks. We do wish they were machine washable and had a thicker sole, but otherwise they're a great buy.

If you want a heated slipper, but prefer a boot-style of shoe, then the Komfies from blanket hoodie brand Kuddly are a great choice. While the Warmies did provide a stronger heat in the first five minutes, the Komfies felt much more luxurious and had a thicker sole for comfort. That being said, they are more expensive to buy.
The Komfies were easy to heat in the microwave, it was just a case of removing the clay inserts and warming them through for the specified time. They provide a gentle warmth on top of the foot for around 30 minutes, so they're great for a short-term boost of heat, and they felt cosy to wear even after the heat had faded. We loved that they could be machine washed too once the clay inserts had been removed.
The downside? They are a little noisy underfoot - however, this is more of a padding sound than anything too distracting.
