Full of features and articles on everything to do with kids, plus more tangential stuff that parents might find interesting. With lots of information on every aspect of education (their webguide includes sites to help you become a school governor, and safe guarding kids on the net as well as the usual stuff on how to find the best schools) the site also includes the pick of the parenting articles from the Observer and the Guardian, including a recently published special report on what to do and where to go in the summer holidays.? Worth checking out.
High Notes
LIVE music groups for babies and toddlers (6mths - 41/2 yrs) in the Buckinghamshire area :Little Chalfont, Hazlemere, Beaconsfield, Great Misssenden, and in Hertfordshire in Rickmansworth. The aim of the group, called High Notes, is to stimulate the children with live music and to let them have fun whilst reacting to and exploring the rhythms and melodies. I play the piano (and other instruments) whilst the youngsters and adults sing, move about and play instruments themselves. Ofsted
Somewhere buried in here are all the reports available on English schools, though judging by the Frequently Asked Questions page, we weren't the only ones to fail to extract any information. You need a program called Acrobat Reader to read the reports and you can theoretically download it free from the site, but half an hour later, still downloading, we gave up - don't they realise parents just don't have time for that sort of thing? FAQ page also has link to league tables.

Sats Past Papers
Practice makes perfect! Get the back copies of the ACTUAL Sats Past Question Papers at Key Stage 2 (Year 6) and Key Stage 3 (Year 9) in Mathematics, Science, and English. These papers have already been taken by hundreds of thousands of pupils in the UK, during SATS in May. All tiers are available from level 3-5 to level 6-8, and for 2005, 2004, & 2003. These papers will give you an idea of the questions that children are given during their forthcoming SATS exams. Order before 3pm any weekday, and your delivery goes out the same day by first class post.
Time For Citizenship
This website is run by primary schools in the UK and Ireland, and is co-ordinated by Liam McGurrin, Headteacher in Sheffield. Because of the support of our sponsors, it is a free resource. Registration allows you to view/download the lesson plans (Teacher's page), submit entries for the termly Art competitions (Gallery), and win fabulous prizes for your school/group - as well as building up a very valuable resource for all schools to share. UK Schoolsearch
The place to access Ofsted reports and league tables for all your local primary and secondary schools - in theory, that is. Be warned: you need a postcode to make it work and even that's no guarantee of success. All the areas we searched came up "not available".
