hi
I'm going away on holiday and looking for recommendations to download on my kindle.

I love reading crime. My favourite is Patricia Cornwell, but I think I've read them all.

Anyone here got any recommendations?

thanks

I keep recommending Belinda Bauer's novels to people, because I enjoyed them.

She's written four novels. The first three are in a series set in the same village on Exmoor. They are crime/thriller novels, and need to be read in order - Blacklands, Dark Side, and Finders Keepers. The fourth one is Rubbernecker, which isn't part of the series.

DuchessofMalfi - great recommendation!

SocFish - let us know where you are going and we can suggest a crime novel set in that location, it is a wonderful way to conjure up a place and get just an extra dimension: [email protected]

Otherwise off the top of my head, have you tried Mari Hannah, new author who has DCI Kate Daniels leading investigations set all around North East England

Deon Meyer for South Africa......

Elizabeth Haynes' new one is good.

The Nicci French series named after days is also good Blue Monday and Tuesday's Gone.

Sophie Hannah's earlier books were very good, although I've got a bit fed up with the last two.

The Woman Before Me is fantastic, really enjoyed this recently.

I have just finished a fab book.....its not a crime one, it is called Fractured and it is by Dany Atkins. This book is a real page turner (well i thought it was), it get me gripped, it made me cry, and it had a very bittersweet ending which I did not expect. i would recommend this book to everyone! :-)
