DD received her Woolly Hug today just in time before we go into hospital on Tuesday for her operation. It is incredible and you are so very very lovely. She has examined every square in detail and keeps exclaiming 'Look, a ' She loves it and is so excited about taking it into hospital with her. I know just how many hours of work must have gone into it - and I very much appreciate it, considering how the 'deadline' changed.

There are pictures of her with it here.

Thank you all for everything - even if you weren't involved in DD's Hug, to be involved at all in any way is just fantastic!

Fabulous pictures :)

What I want to know is why anteaters?

Well... hope you're sitting comfortably...

She's always loved animals and we started buying the bloody expensive schleich ones when she started talking - when she could name an animal we'd buy it, etc... because they were expensive we boughta tub of cheap ones from elc to take out with us and there were really random animals in it - pangolin, yak, stoat... and anteater. She learned all their names.

Then before Christmas 2 years ago we were talking about Father Christmas and how he might bring her a toy and she asked for an animal. I asked which animal and she said a tiger. I pointed out she already had one and she said anteater... since then if you ask her what her favourite animal is she says anteater (and thankfully FC managed to track down a schleich one, thank goodness for ebay!).

Our local wildlife park has a pair of anteaters, and it's also amazing how much anteater merchandise is out there...

Galena - I am really sorry, I somehow managed to miss the 'shout out' for your DD's blanket :( I would have knitted a couple of squares had I known.

She has grown up so much since I last looked at your photos - she's one beautiful wee girl - I bet she takes after her Mum Wink

How did you get on with the fundraising - are you there yet??

I'll be thinking of you both on Tuesday x

Chipping, no worries. Thoughts are all good.

Fundraising is good (and thank you Thumbwitch x) We got a big donation from lottery winners which took us to our total - the money we now raise is for rehabilitation equipment etc.

Can't believe it's only a few days away now!
