When we offered to make some Little Hugs for Yorkhill Hospital, we also talked to them about their Christmas Fundraiser.
As part of our support, we offered to help by making some little things that could be sold on a craft stall to help raise funds for the hospital.

So here we are, asking you if you could help in anyway.
If you could make one small thing, we would be so grateful.

We have an idea of the types of things that have been popular in the past and have a few idea of our own such as:

Little hats
Little cardis
Christmas Decorations
Little bags and purses
Christmas stockings
Bunting
Knitted or crocheted softies
Brooches
Cotton washcloths
Napkins
Coasters
Stocking fillers

Although it is a Christmas event, the goodies needn't necessarily be Christmassy.

Any other suggestions are welcomed with open arms

If you have any patterns or links that would help to inspire others we'd be grateful for those too.

We have a Last Posting date of 17th November so that we can ensure that all the goodies arrive in time for the Christmas event.

As always, thank you so much for your support.

thanks

For any local Blanketeers, this all takes place on the upper floors of the City Chambers at George Square. The Christmas marketplace opens this evening at 6pm.

How lovely - a thank you letter from Yorkhill, bless them

Dear Friends

Thank you so much for thinking of the work of Yorkhill Children’s Foundation by donating lovely Woolly Hugs and gorgeous Christmas decorations. The time and effort that you all have put into making these gifts is absolutely incredible and is truly a lovely gesture. We greatly appreciate your support and the Woolly Hugs with give much needed comfort to our families spending this Christmas period in Yorkhill Hospital. We would also like to thank you for donating lovely gifts to sell at our Christmas Concert. It will help us raise vital funds for sick babies and children treated at Yorkhill Hospital.

With the money you raise and the support you have given, we will be able to continue providing all the ‘extra’ services and medical equipment for Yorkhill Hospital, which would otherwise not be available. Your help will make a real difference to the children from all over Scotland who come here for treatment, and will help make their stay in hospital that little bit easier.

We are extremely grateful to you for helping us in this way and your support is greatly appreciated.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Best Wishes

Claire Hughes
Fundraising Assistant

Thanks Fizzy smile

You have cleared the slur on Pistey's character for today

SoupDragon Sat 01-Dec-12 11:32:21

How do we know that is not a photoshopped mock up and that Fizzy isn't in on it?

SoupDragon Sat 01-Dec-12 11:32:55

I know for a fact she hung onto one of the Pombears that were in my parcel wink

Oh they are all bapit!
Try again

Hairypotter was there too! She'll vouch for my good character!
