Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know details of a feminist conference happening on Saturday 26th October in London.
There is a free crèche and workshops for children and teens available.

FEMINISM IN LONDON 2013
The UK's largest feminist conference
Saturday October 26th
Reaffirming why feminism is still needed, and exploring what can be done to combat problems faced by women today. Speakers include Caroline Lucas MP, Gita Sahgal and Shabina Begum. Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, Object, Finn Mackay and many more will be sharing their views.
Workshops include women in the media, incarceration and FGM. Secularism within feminism will be covered, as well as practical sessions on activism and assertiveness, and more!
FiL is hosting the first meeting for the launch planning of the Stop Porn Culture campaign; the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize giving; and is followed by the annual Reclaim the Night march.
A diverse range of artists will be showcased, including work from established professionals, women in prison, and from those emerging from vulnerable situations.
Crèche and children’s/teen workshops available …

Hi Lisa

I am absolutely gutted that I cant be there. My husband lost his job a couple of months ago and because I work we dont get any help. Sadly I cant afford the trip down or the tickets but I will be there with you in spirit.

I am going. I just can't choose which session for the afternoon. Any opinions on what would be good?
