Bloody RAGE.

Ive always thought soaps were a bit mysogynistic. Seems in some cases they choose their actors to suit this.
he is full of rape and abuse apology here.

Warning...it will make you as angry as it did me.

I reckon Corrie producers have got their head in their hands. What with the charges against another one of their actors and now this old duffer coming out with this bile.

Corrie & the like should have been axed years ago. Any vague hat tip they get for handling a subject well (not that I can summon one to mind) is obliterated by the overwhelming mass of shit they pump out for the rest of the time.
I need a second crack at the link now, I got temporary rage blindness.

Hmmmm. I wonder if we'll be hearing any revelations about him then. It seems a rather defensive attitude.

V strange indeed.

"they choose their actors to suit this"

Given that he was chosen nearly 53 years ago, I think it would be difficult to discover reasons for his casting. And it is totally unrelated to the current producers of the soap.

I think what actors say/do on their own time is nothing to do with soap storylines; many of which (especially in Corrie) feature strong women characters.

He is clearly deluded, not only to think this but to willingly broadcast it?!

Tosser.

Isn't he the ridiculous old fool that bangs on about all manner of stupid guff?

It was psychics or summat the other day. Best ignored, I think, the man is a tool

Wasn't he on the tellybox the other day trying to talk to his dead dog through a medium?

He's clearly barking I love my puns I do.

Glen Hoddle had the same problem: easy to be trapped like this if you believe in reincarnation.

I don't think he said asking for it though, or bringing it in themselves, is it not his religious beliefs re past lives affecting what happens to you in this life?

Didn't someone else say that it was the same re children with special needs, that it was a punishment, sure there were threads about that a few years ago as well.
Can't remember who it was though, a singer or actor I'm sure.

Not something I agree with whatsoever or condone but if you believe in reincarnation then that is what you think.

scaevola · 19/03/2013 08:04

Fanny yes, that was Glen Hoddle

Glenn Hoddle's career went from strength to strength after that

Not

The Dalai Lama manages to talk about reincarnation without causing offence.

Roache, after so many years in Corrie, seems unable to cope without a script.

So he talks about not asking for birth certificates to check ages and an apparent "grey area" if you like.

And he has slept with over 1000 women.

Sounds like hes teetering on the edge of some sort of confession to me.

BabyMakesTheBellyGoRound · 19/03/2013 08:34

Yes,absolutely Bill, these girls who were sexually mature beyond their years somehow preformed some sort of voodoo to render these poor men helpless. Couldn't help it. Hmm

Sounds like he is afraid of some revelations. Of course he should not have to ask for a birth cert,he and others could simply not be sexual with them. Say thanks, but no thanks. Or is he implying that men have so little control over themselves that they can't not,and in that case he is painting men as nothing more than animals.

My first reaction is that there are few skeletons rattling the doors of his cupboard then and he's getting in ahead of the reports.

ah, x posts with practically everyone else I see. He'll be the next one under the spotlight then, once JS has been fully dealt with (inasmuch as you can deal with a corpse).

To me, he sounds like he's totally loosing it. Seriously incoherent.

Can I say something with the fear of being totally flamed?

When I was 13,14,15 (back in the mid 80's) I had one or two friends who I ^know^ used to dress up, had fake ID and would go out every weekend with the sole purpose of 'getting off' with older men. At the time, we used to eagerly listen to their exploits in the class room the next week. At the time I thought they were being fairly wild and outrageous, but didn't give it much more thought.

Only as an adult do I think back and wonder if these girls had problems at home, or of indeed all their tales were true. However, I do wonder if the men they 'got off' with knew or cared if they were so young? If they didn't know.....are they now sex abusers? Legally, yes of course they were. However, I know my friends actively sought them out.

I think in an awkward an unintelligent way, these are the 'groupies' that Bill Roache is trying to describe.

But in general, his rambling are crazy.
