Can anyone help me fit into my wedding dress by October?

Hello! I'm 5' 6", and this morning I was 10st 8lbs. My goal is 9st 4.

I'm getting married in early October and my dress is lovely but UNFORGIVING. It shows every bump! So I need to lose weight and tone up.

I have a gym membership, a rowing machine, lots of fitness DVDS (30 Day Shred, etc) and access to a dog to walk... But I'm currently not doing anything!!

Can anyone think of a simple, effective plan I can follow to get to my goal by October? I could try the Scarsdale Diet (I love it), but will I look haggard in my face? I'm 40something now.

Thank you.

I meant, will I look haggard if I lose weight quickly? Scarsdale promotes fast weight-loss. Does your face look younger if you lose weight slowly, or is there no difference?

Check in every day, having done 30 day shred and walked the dog.

Juice diet for three days a week, every week between now and October.

You could also speak to someone at the gym, you pay them so use it! Get a programme and a check up every week.

Eat as per the maintenance guidelines (no wheat, no sugar, no dairy) for the rest.

Buy the best hold it all in underwear you can find.

A stone to loose in three months is not too fast so should have no serious effects on your face or your health.

PS: stick a fat picture of yourself on the fridge with the acronym JFDI written on it.

Don't bargain with yourself, don't cheat, don't reward yourself for good behaviour unless you have reached your end goal. If you feel good about what you have done, do more!

and lose not loose!!

THANK YOU! I'm living at my parents' house ATM, hence the weight gain. The food here is delicious but really stodgy. I can buy my own healthy stuff of course, so that's no excuse...

Dad has a posh juicer thing I could borrow. I'll google some recipes. YES I need to get a plan from the gym people. Good idea.

No sugar?! Yikes. Definitely bread can go. I'm surprised I'm so unmotivated. We are paying a fortune for our photographer so you'd think the thought of looking lardy in the pics would keep me out of the biscuit barrel (that I'm beginning to resemble).

I keep buying stuff (hand weights, kettle bell, that Zaggora workout gear that makes you sweat)... And not using it!

No wheat, no dairy, no sugar means no cakes, minimal carbs and you have to find other ways of filling yourself up. Water, seeds, fruit, nuts, vegetables, protein and you don't need to worry about the calorie content of the other things as you will have excluded the empty calories. Do eat fat in the form of unrefined coconut oil and olive oil and your skin will stay elastic and healthy looking.

Get your parents involved so they are on your side and don't encourage you to eat the yummy but stodgy food.

You don't really need any equipment to get fit apart from a pair of trainers and a good sports bra!
