Who has gone cold turkey on sugar? Does it really just cut the fat off you?

I'm considering doing it. Am size 12 but petite so should be size 8/10 realistically. Roll of fat round middle. Anyone?

Yes I did it. Low carbed. No sugar or processed food ( which is full of sugar) and little fruit

Lost 5 stone and kept it off for over a year now

You lose the taste for it and feel full on what you are eating. You break the sugar cycle.

Thanks! How long would you say it takes before the cravings stop?

Hello,
I had a sugar 'hangover' for a couple of days, definitely less than a week. After that I wasn't hungry as much and didn't fancy eating sugar and having to go through the detox again.

When you do eat something sweet after detoxing, everything tastes overly sweet- you taste buds definitely acustomise to it!

I've just started
I need to lose about 20lb , haven't last anything much yet , but it's only been 2 weeks
Had one bad day when I just ate normally ( jam on toast and pudding on Sunday after a horrifically stressful Saturday )
Been sugar free since Monday , felt like death warmed up on Thursday , aching , cold , exhausted , so had about a half spoonful of raw honey and have been fine since .
I eat raw fruit , and drink wine , but have cut out all processed and cooked sugar
I have a book .. I quit sugar , by Sarah Wilson , it's very good

For me I think it was about a week

Never too bothered about sweet stuff. Bread was a killer tho
