It is so hard to keep motivated when you hit a plateau!

Plateaus are very hard to get through but you can do it!

Ooh, thought I'd lost you. No weight loss this week, but then it is half term. Not disheartened as I know now that this will happen. Looking forward to next week.

Racheyg, from last thread you asked about what I eat on the 5:2 on a fast day. I don't eat anything for breakfast. I then have an M&S Feel Fuller meal (320-350 cals) at lunch and then half a can of soup for supper. That works for me. I just don't want to be cooking, or doing any pre-cooking as I do enough blinking cooking as it is! I find that I am now looking forward to fast days just as a chance to eat less once in a while. I know that depriving myself EVERY day doesn't work for me, but twice a week is not a chore and it gets my body back in balance. First two weeks were hard though. Now I am in the groove and I really don't mind it.

Really really struggling. Baby dd is teething and sleeping in bursts of ten/fifteen minutes. Last night and the night before I had two hours sleep. Night before that I got three hours. Fairly predictably I'm sliding back into chocolate habits.

anyone any suggestions? I am so tired I feel constantly sick.

Dark chocolate bigwellylittlewelly ?
Cut up loads of nice fruit and vege ( or buy it) and use honey as a dip.
Suck a slice of raw ginger or liquorice root to ward off nausea.
That feeling being ill because of no sleep is a killer.

I am really happy because am wearing
trousers I haven't worn since first getting pregnant with my first over 4.5(cough) years ago .

They are the largest of my slimmer self
trousers . I can't wait to fit into all my old clothes and buy new ones.
What do you do in between ?

So I am still going backwards. Life not great and the moment and I am falling into old habits. Is anyone else an emotional eater?

Ohh. I'd forgotten about this thread! Joined in NY after horrendous Xmas- on MFP with lots of people I met here. It's been great- I love having people to talk to about weight loss (DH is sceptical after watching me start and fail so many times) and I like the MFP discipline. I'm doing 4:3 fasting as weekends are the only time we eat together as a family and the extra fast day gives me some leeway. Start weight 13 stone, was 11 stone 13.5 lb last Monday. Weigh day tomorrow- I'm keeping fingers crossed. Half term has been challenging but I have done my fast days...

Yes.
me.

I've thankfully stayed the same, but need to apply myself as I have no excuses. The vending machine at work has got me twice this week.

no great progress here but thought i'd check in seeing as we've all gone a bit quiet.
Started at 13 13 on Jan 5 and am now 13 7 - so only 6 pounds off - not hitting the pound a week target

It's Feb that's been rubbish - messing around with the same couple of pounds on and off, so March needs a bit more focus.
But tbh even if I end up with 6 pounds every 2 months that's 36 by the end of the year - which would be pretty bloody good

Lurkers, how are you doing?

Wow stoops, over a stone down, that's fantastic!

I've had a bad couple of weeks eating wise. The week before half term was v stressful for various reasons and I did a bit of comfort eating (am determined to crack down on this). Then we were away for half term which I find more challenging. So I am v relieved to have maintained at today's weigh in.

Start weight 13st 0lb
Current weight 12st 4lb
Lost 10lb in 8 weeks

Onwards and downwards! Next week is going to be a good one!

start weight 213
today 198
total loss 15 pounds in 7 weeks

I am aiming for 160-165 . Recently at the doctors I was told to aim for 145 . I think that is quite low as I am a heavy boned 5ft 10in .
Not sure whose calculations she was following but her chart wasn't the Bmi type.

A better week this week for me. Down 2lbs from last week. But then I had put on a pound last week, so technically only down a pound from two weeks ago.

Total weight loss so far after 7 weeks is 12.2 lbs and am hoping I can hit a stone by next week. MFP has really helped me keep going. I log on every day and it has been an eye opener learning about calories in all my recipes and that by switching my food choices I can still eat a decent amount each day and lose weight. I'm doing 5:2 and the fast days are now not that difficult. In fact I quite look forward to them as they are like a rest from food and, if I have a binge (as does happen on occasions still), then a fast day really does sort it out. And it is great having the support from all the others I am linked into on there. I love seeing all of their weight coming off too!

Here's to a good week for all of us!

Have had a tough couple of weeks - crazy busy and quite pressured. Weight has remained the same as two weeks ago, so 13 stone exactly.

Started noting down everything I am eating again today, and feel a bit more in control of life.

Well done to all who are sticking with it!

I am a bit of a MN lurker Blush
However, keeping an eye on this thread, and linking up with the people on MFP has been really motivational. I can't talk to anyone IRL about the diet- DH has heard it all before (he tries, but I know he doesn't expect me to succeed), DM has never needed to diet (that's a story in itself) and I'm paranoid about mentioning the Diet word in front of DD.... I've had some setbacks which would normally have derailed me completely, but I've managed to be sensible about it thanks to lots of wise words from people!

Hello - forgot to record my weight loss on Weds. 2lbs lost this week, which makes me 1lb down from two weeks ago (given that I put on a lb the week before). So slowly in the right direction.

My MFP name is Betsysbesty and I am finding MFP is what is keeping me on track.

Bigwelly - I will add you Smile

Congrats to all those who have lost weight in the last few weeks.

Start weight: 13st 13lbs
Today: 13st 10.25lbs
Lost: 2.75lbs
Week: 8

It was my birthday this week and instead of being pleased that I was now 12st xlbs as I had been so optimistic about given my initial success, I spent it eating junk on my own. To be frank, I didn't really care if my birthday was marked or not.

Onwards and upwards.
