Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

I'm already following the main 5:2 weight loss thread but 21lbs by Easter is my next target, count me in with you

I joined a '2 stone by christmas' thread in September and managed that Xmas Smile

Fantastic. I usually get weighed on a Tuesday although I will weigh myself next Friday to see how I am getting on as my meeting doesn't start up again until the 7th. It sounds like you are doing brilliantly!
I'm off to buy some fruit this morning to replace the fruit and crisps I have been snacking onGrin What days do you fast and feast on?

I'm restarting mfp again today and came on to see if anyone else fancied joining in. I lost 2 stone on slimming world this year and have put most of it back on.

Need to lay off the wine and junk food.

I normally fast on Monday and Thursday and weigh on Tuesday.

I don't have scales in my house so go to town to do this, the brisk walk is part of my exercise plan!

Am fasting today, although I really enjoyed eating the lovely christmas food, I'm so looking forward to this today, I feel full so am going as low cal as possible, liquid only with fruit/herbal tea and water only.

I have 10 weeks until I go on holiday to Sri Lanka. I am sick of fat holiday photos, so want to loose at least a stone by then, with another 10-12lb after, so would love to join you ladies. I think I am going to give Slimming World a try, weighing in on a Wednesday evening.

Welcome heels. A holiday is a very good motivator and 10 weeks is plenty of time to see a real change.

Count me in please, I'm starting today. I've managed to lose a stone this year, but appear to have put half a stone on over the last weekHmm

I want to lose that, plus at least another stone to get back how I used to be. I put on over 2 stone when I started uni last year so need to stop the comfort eating when studying! Smile

Can I join too. Really need to lose about 20lb. Am running and cutting back portions. Did 5:2 last year and lost nothing. Might try it again in jan.

I'd like to start from January 7th as I think I might as well finish Christmas. I'm also deciding whether I should join my local brand new gym or slimming world.

I'm in!!! This is the worst time of year for me foodwise. Half eaten boxes of food everywhere. Don't know whether to eat it quickly to get it out of the way or a little bit each day.

I'm in.

I usually do SW but I've decided I need to do something different, I've joined rosemary Conley on-line, there's a 50% off 12 weeks membership at the moment so I thought it was worth doing to get the information, measuring cups, recipes etc.

I joined and weighed in on Christmas day, so my weigh in day will be Wednesday.

I'd like to lose 28lb by Easter, but I'd be happy with 21lb.

I started it today, although I'm planning on having new years eve and new Years day off :)

thankfully I didn't buy too many goodies, as we were out with family Christmas day and boxing day, so not too much to eat up, and some will save for new year.

boxes of chocolates will be sent to work with DH out of my reach :)

Hi all, relative newbie to MN but not to dieting! 2 years ago I used ww online and mfp and shifted almost a stone, but during this past year even going to SW I put the stone back on. I have just signed back up to ww online as we want to TTC and I feel unhealthy. They are doing cashback and a voucher code so it's cost me about £25 for 3 months. I've not got that much rubbish in actually as we didn't buy a lot in so decided to have a pre 2014 kick up the bum. Heading for the gym tomorrow, and have been tracking my food on the ww app. Good luck everyone.

5:2 is a lot easier that it might seem.

start with 16:8 - ie eating all of your food for the day within an eight hour window
otherwise known as skipping breakfast and not snacking after supper

building up from there to just having a teeny lunch and small supper twice a week is not a huge leap

the biggest change is giving up snacking and grazing.
