Just checking in from my holibags. Managing to stick at it with exception of meal at night which is prawns and salad which should keep me in ketosis. Its hard tho'. No ice cream, wine or holiday type treats. HoweverI can slip into my shorts an d tops without feeling blubbery. Tempted to visit paying scales as missed saturdays weigh in. Gping on average I should be at 52 lbs off. Xx

Hello.

Well I'm into my second week and wondering if this is really the diet for me! I'm not hungry really, just very bored!!

Had a night out on Saturday, which doesn't happen often, so didn't even try not to drink. So Sunday ended up being really difficult, hence the KFC wrap in the evening Blush

Was speaking to a friend today who started the 5:2 diet last week and she lost 6.5lb. I only lost 5.5lb last week and just wondered what the point was.

Granted she has more to lose than me but....

Do you think the less you have to lose, the less it works, so to speak?
My start weight was 10st 13lb and I would ideally like to get to about 9 4/5lb and I'm just not sure this is the way to be doing it. Sad

Maybe (probably not) I'll get a nice surprise on Thursday at weigh in and will get my mojo back!

Afternoon all. I'm here. Nine lb in two weeks. Finding it easy to stick to. Gutted this week is looking like a sts though. Well I have till Thursday morning, and I look slimmer, but the scales just aren't budging.

Going to stick with it. I'm at my very top bmi now, so I know that will affect it. And coming up to time of the month too.

Not hungry, enjoying the packs and drinking loads of water too :-)

any one who has been on this for a long period? eg over 6 months?

can always find lots with great losses of 1 or 2 weeks, but never any further so would be interesting to see if any one on here as stuck to it for over 6mths and their weight loss?

its the one catch that stops me doing it, hare or rabbit

I think it depends on how much you want to lose and how badly golly . I knew that I needed to lose weight, but the amount I had to lose was so large it was scary (I needed to lose 7 stone) and this has shown me that it needn't be that hard.

I know, by god do I know, that the work begins on maintenance. Learning not to binge will be my biggest challenge. But it is lovely knowing that I can do this diet if it all goes out of control, although I am going to watch myself carefully to make sure it isn't needed, I haven't been less than 13.5 stone since I went to university, this really feels like it will change my life.

This thread has been really helpful too! For example smokin it's week 3 - you know that normally means stall week! Keep going and you will see it next week. I do normally have an extra pack during those few days of premenstrual hunger with no disastrous effects. I reckon better that than falling head first into chocolate!

Ultimately, this was a punt for me. I tried for a couple of weeks and that has become more. The rapid loss suits my disposition and I actually don't feel too deprived. I am coming off vlcd while dh is home so I can have a drink (:o) but I will be back!

Hello I was hoping I could join you all.
After putting on a stone each year for the last 3 years have decided enough is enough! Started Exante on Sunday, craving food but stuck to it. All I want to do is get on the scales!

EachAndEveryHighway

Hello, I've been doing Exante on and off for a while, and have suddenly got my motivation back with the better weather!!

Could I just ask if any of you have a voucher code for Exante? I got an email a few days ago saying I had a 'lucky dip' voucher code which would give me between 5% and 25% off - I just tried my code and it was for 15% - I just wondered if any of you doing Exante might have had the same email as me but for 25%, before I make my order. If not, I'm happy to share my code 4116-DC35-4EAB

Best of luck with your individual weight-loss journeys - I did Cambridge 5 years ago and lost 3.5 stone, then if I creep up to a stone over my target I do a 'top-up' to get back down again. So far so good ...

I was going to post this in the voucher code section, but then thought the weight loss section might be more appropriate - hope that's OK.

Just thought I would copy paste from the last thread as you are doing exante too Jolibee!

Hello all
I hope everyone is okay.
Last week was a bit bad for me, I forgot my packs at work so had 2 hard boiled eggs and an inch of mattesons sausage, been craving a chicken kebab for last couple of weeks so had a small one on Friday then Sunday had a carvery with 2 bottles of kopperberg and a mint cornetto. Scales are showing a 1lb loss which brings me to my stone, whoop whoop. But truthfully, I struggled to eat the food, found it an effort to chew and actually didn't want it, am I normal or not.
Actually don't answer that lol.
I've got 2cweeks till my holiday so 100% on plan this week. Long term plan is to do this again for 3weeks after my holiday then move onto 5:2 diet.
Wishing everyone all the best. Still people on here inspire me to continue with this journey and motivate me to remain strong.
Here's to the next week and more losses and inspiring tales. Xxx

Hi, can I join you?! I am in desperate need of loosing about 6st (ugg!) and am starting packs today. I have messed around with this for a while but I feel motivated to get this done now. You are very encouraging by how well you are doing and since I don't have support IRL I would really appreciate it here. Well, day one - here goes Smile

SconeInSixtySeconds · 03/07/2013 08:17

Hello laura - welcome to the thread! Which plan are you doing as they all vary slightly, and we don't want to steer you wrong...

I don't have any support irl either and in some ways I think it is easier not telling people as they tend to have a very skewed view of this kind of diet.

6 stone is easily doable! The first 4 or 5 days are awful, but once ketosis kicks in it is much much easier. Come on as often as you need and chat, it really does help.

Thanks Scone for the voucher code sorry I don't have a code. I bought my six week pack from Groupon for £106. That was the first time I have seen it on offer on there though.
Wow 3 1/2 stone on the Cambridge diet is brilliant.
Freckles your stone is making me battle through this.
Day 4 and feeling much better, no head ache and feeling lively!

Well looks like I might be lucky with a pound tomorrow if im good. Had two packs and a chicken salad already though, so going to struggle tonight with just a pack to go :-/

New guy im seeing ( a whole month if that!) is taking me away this weekend, hotel, wine, food. Going to knock myself out of ketosos sat morning for the weekend, and try to stick to gin and protein salads for dinner but obviously going to have a wee impact.

Thanks Scone :) I'm doing Lighter Life, I know it's expensive but the packs taste great and the counsellor is lovely. Getting through today much better than I expected so I'm feeling hopeful.
I think you're right, it's easier not to have to explain this to anyone.
