30 Day Shred - DVD just arrived ... anyone else about to start?!

So, after all I've read, the DVD and the weights have arrived....

Later today I plan to begin.

In 30 days I will be toned, have lost this extra stone, feel awake instead of in need of a nap all the time ... etc etc etc.

Right now just getting through the first one would be a victory! Anyone else desperate and mad enough to be starting this....

Yes i just did level one, i've done it before it's very effective.

It was much easier today so i'm out for a run now. Half an hour as i'm not that good at running.

I'm going on holiday in two weeks so it's a focused effort to shift a few inches.

Hi there, I have just ordered this, it arrives tomorrow, didn't order weights tho, do I need those? How are you getting on?

I'm going to start tomorrow I think, but I haven't bought it...youtube.

Do you think I can do it barefoot on carpet, I don't need trainers, do I?

I'm on day 6 of 30DS. My goal is to finish at least level 1 as I tried it last year and quit after day 7 Grin. Hopefully I'll manage to finish the whole thing this time. Jillian is right, after 5 days you notice improvements in your endurance and strength.
I did it barefoot on exercise mat couple of times, so it is doable. Exercises seem to be bit harder as you don't have extra stability provided by the trainers.

the DVD has arrived... I'm not so much in for losing weight as going ROCK HARD in all the right places... being alert & awake without caffeine would be awesome too. don't have weights yet & not sure how heavy to go - would use 3kg or 4kg for gym use but I'm guessing lighter for this...

No, that's great Nacho, I'll weight myself, but not sure I'll manage to measure. Going to attempt it tonight with the youtube version in barefeet :)

I'm going to join this thread, the last one I was on died after 20 posts.

I get really bored with DVDs, so I'm rotating Shred with 2 others. Today was Day 2 of Shred Level 1.

I lasted 5 days last time round, I really want to stay the distance this time.

Come on Goodtobetter you can do it, just 20 mins. I have just done day one, wasn't too bad Haha

OK, just done it. HARD but weirdly I enjoyed it! Loved the rush when I finished. It works so well as each little bit is onl a minute or two, so when I thought I'd die, she moved to something else.
Found the star jumps hard (and have much worse pelvic floor than I realised Blush felt like i needed a wee) and the butt kicks and jumping rope realy hard to do, well everything really :) But it's the first time I've ever "enjoyed" exercise that's not swimming or sex!

I should start SHRED again, it has been a long time while since I last did it, and I could really do with losing some weight.

I will do day one tomorrow.

Was it good for weightloss Eternal?

GoodtoBetter, I can't do the star jumps or jump rope without wearing a tena pad either. I'm hoping the problem will improve with exercise ...

Anyone know what weight the hand weights should be? I've been using baked bean tins, don't know what weight to buy.

Report
GoodtoBetter · 29/06/2013 06:46

I used tins as well kirk The weights looked quite small....

The last time I did the full 30 days I also did 60 minutes of cardio a day (a 30 minute run in the morning and 30 minutes on the exercise bike in the evening).
That along with eating healthy and I lost 17lbs and toned up a lot. I dropped nearly two full dress sizes.
