Morning ladies

My man proposed to me a month ago and we are planning our wedding for next year. He has not been married before but this will be my 2nd marriage. The first time I got married abroad and there was no real planning involved but this time we will be having a small wedding with immediate family and best friends near to where we live.

We are hoping for intimate and sophisticated! The plan is to get married in the afternoon at our local register office and then have dinner in a restaurant. However, half of our guests will be children; mine are older but the rest are aged between 1 and 8 so any ideas to entertain the little people will be appreciated! Immediate thoughts are to provide colouring/small toys/loom bands for the little ones, have a children's entertainer and a movie corner if the restaurant can accommodate this. We are marrying near a harbour so I may factor in a boat ride as I think keeping the kids happy will mean everyone can have a good time. What do you think?

If anyone is getting married for the 2nd time it would be great to hear from you, ciao for now!

Hi there,

I am also planning my second wedding, although we've opted to do it abroad. However, we're going for something very similar to yours and have chosen to hold our reception at a place in the middle of nowhere on this Greek island but we had the most memorable meal last year.

For the children, a bit face painting and a magician suffice. The boat ride sounds wonderful, perhaps if you can fit in between your ceremony and reception with a cheers on board and throwing the bouquet?

Good luck with your planning and have fun!!! x
