Is it acceptable to chase up evening invites who don't reply?

I have about 20 people who I've invited for the evening and who've not replied. Wedding is 3.5 weeks away. It's just light food in the evening - so don't need to know precise numbers but would be good to know rough numbers. I did say RSVP on the invites (which went out by email)

Would you chase them up?

YES!
We were chased on a wedding invite. We'd never received it. We were mortified, even tho royal mail were at fault.

Absolutely yes!
Some people don't bother replying, which is very rude, but others don't receive the invitations so may think they've been left out altogether.

They've gone by email. There's a few that may have gone astray I guess, but some of the emails I'm certain are correct. (In one case I asked for the friend's email so that I could send him an invite!)

If they've gone by email and you're sure the email addresses are correct, then you should still chase, as they are being impolite!

There is nothing wrong with chasing up people who haven't replied!
