What kind of dress are you having?

It's princessy but not with a huge big fat gypsy wedding skirt! It's not that big and more of an a-line shape. Strapless with some sparkle but not too bling. I tried on much bigger skirts and loads more bling before settling on this one.

Will you be able to see the shoes? I wanted Louboutins for my wedding, but as you couldn't see them at all under my dress, I went for much cheaper shoes - the only person who saw them was DH at the hotel afterwards and he really wasn't looking at my shoes Grin

No u won't see them. Maybe ill hold my dress up a bit at the reception and show them off to everyone.
Beacause they won't be seen Im considering a pair that's not too weddingish that I could wear again? Some silver ones Maybe.

They are beautiful aren't they? As soon as they are in London I'm going to find them and stare at them for a while. This will be the window display in Harrods this Christmas (thought you might like it too). My wedding dress was called odette, the princess from swan lake but I wore ballerina slippers as I'm tall and my skirt was probably half of a bfgw dress which is still quite big :) have a brilliant wedding day!!

Have you looked at Aruna Seth? These are quite similar (not cheap but very lovely).

NoComet · 13/07/2012 12:48

Cheapest ones possible, they will get dirty and you will never wear white/cream/ daft sparkly shoes again.

Those Harrod shoes cost more than the bill to dress me, my two bridesmaids and DHs new suit.

Ok it is my 22nd Wedding anerversery today and we were broke students.
(and I cheated slightly, I have a professional dress maker for an aunt, who took me to
liberties to buy dress fabric, but made the dresses as my wedding present.)
