Will banks etc. accept foreign marriage certificate as proof of marriage?

I got married in Greece in 2006. I have kept my maiden name so have never yet needed to show marriage certificate as proof of marriage. Greek wedding certificates are in the Greek alphabet and are simply a photocopy of the page from the town hall book (not a nice, pretty certificate).

Does anyone know if banks, utility companies etc. will accept this as proof of marriage? I have translated into English but this is just a Word document with no official stamps...

Thank you!

you would probably need to get an official translation done that has been signed/has an official stamp
