Those "save the date" cards

Got one of these a few weeks ago.

"Emily and Ben are getting married on 6 April, please save the date". That's all it said. So I thought it must be my neighbour's daughter who is called Emily and who is getting married to, well, some bloke (I've lost track). I am friendly but not that close to them, but thought they might be planning a big noisy do in their garden, in which case they might think it diplomatic to include us.

Anyway, I have now discovered it's not them! because they are getting married in October, not April. So who the jeff are Emily and Ben? Is it normal not to give people a clue on these things?

Oh that's weird, only once had one & it had a picture of the engaged couple to remove all doubts!
