Hi all,

I'm getting married in May & need to speak to the photographer regarding what I we want. Is there something specific I should be asking for aside from the usual getting ready/official photographs/few shots of our guests taken from unsuspecting angles laughing & generally enjoying themselves (I hope).

The photographer did my mum & stepsisters weddings so we know how good & how good she is. Do I want her hanging around all day until first dances or can I get away without the need for professional photos in the evening? Cost isn't really too much of an issue but I don't want to be paying out on things I don't "need".

TIA

Think that how long you want your photographer around is all to do with your personal preference and how formal and informal your wedding is.

We had a friend who is a professional photographer come to the service and do pictures after and that was it. We didn't have a sit down meal or a first dance though, so if you have those you may want the photographer to stay.

We do have lovely photos from later in the day though as everyone was kind enough to give us their favourites.

My best advice would probably to see as many examples of their work as you can and be quite specific about what you do and don't like.
