I don't like the new Met Office layout, what other good weather sites are out there?

Yes, I realise this shows I have huge slight issues over change Blush. But I don't like the new left to right weather forecast and the page looks kind of messy. It just doesn't flow for me.

Are there any other good 5 day forecast sites that still display top to bottom?

I've tried and I still can't read it. It takes a few seconds to check up and down the columns to see what the weather will be and what the temperature will be.

The old layout was a doddle to read quickly. Now they've buggered about with it I haven't got a clue what the weather is going to do.

I don't like it either. What on earth possessed them? They'd have been much better off making the map more usable on the ipad.

Agree, I can't bear it. I just go on BBC weather and netweather.tv now

Xcweather is just a computer interpretation of GFS data. No human input and only one model.

Sadly despite the crap interface the met office is the best one due to using a suite of models including high resolution models and the actual forecasts are modified by people.

If you google 'Met office weather Nottingham' for example a couple of searches will come up. One will say '5 days' in the title, one will say '5 days ' in the description....that will give you the old format! (Does say page will be removed later this year but said that last year too!).

howstricks well spotted! The old page doesn't have quite the full 5 day layout, but it's enough to tell me what's going on.

I'm relieved it wasn't just me getting annoyed with the met office. It's been giving me laptop rage.

oybbk the met office site always seems to be brilliantly accurate. I can plan runs, school runs and my washing line around it. It's a pity they've buggered about with what (I thought) was well laid out info.
