Please please please tell me that is not true...

Having a nasty root canal done that day which involves a fair bit of a walk from the car park across the town centre to the surgery. Feel wobbly enough without having to do that in blazing heat....

Nooooooooooo

"Next Wednesday" is too far ahead for it to be accurate.

It might be. It might not.

If you're looking t this, for example the numbers are the upper and lower bounds of what they think might happen. So the high next Wednesday might be 35, but it also might be 21, and will probably be somewhere in between.

There is some question mark appearing now as to how next week will evolve. That bbc data is old data but the uncertainty still exists. The models are pretty much in agreement with it remaining on the hot side for the beginning of next week. It is what happens on thursday that is really interesting....

It is possible that we may reach 35C (or a low probability of even hotter) next week.

My parents and DC have been to Wales then England, due back end of this week, I seen them all on Facebook they look like they have had 2 weeks abroad. Envy

Or weather is silly, the sun usually comes out around 7am-12/1pm then 7pm at night but looking at that link, tomorrow looks to be less cloudy and still warm next week so it's looking good!! [hopeful]

Interestingly one of the models is looking much more like convective weather from Monday onwards (but still hot)

Arse, so it's looking stormy towards the end of next week?

That is a BIG problem. Poo.

convective weather?
When are we going to get a FRESH BREEZE again and less humidity/closeness? Don't mind the high temps but need some air movement!

I'd like nice weather in Suffolk for the weekend with the 27th July in it please (am assuming no nice weather wherever I am from Wednesday 24th as DC break up from school on Tuesday 23rd).

Will be in Tuscany where they have rain. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

At 5 months pregnant I want rain, breeze and air conditioning.

Stuff 35 degrees, I'd be sitting in a paddling pool full of ice in the garden!

Was it a fluke, or did I imagine a fresh breeze from the east just now as I went outside to dump something in my wheelybin ?

I would now say not.

As I said in another thread:
"I'm afraid I'm really struggling with the forecast now! The models are switching constantly. I don't think I'll get even this week right, never mind in a weeks time.

The breakdown in the weather as everyone else here has predicted now does seem to be timed to coincide with the start of the English school holidays. However, it still doesn't look too bad for this week at least, with temps for most being very pleasant (mid 20s mid week and perhaps hotter again for a couple of days at the end of the week). The el scorchio temps seem to be vanishing. Yes, there will be some rain and storms, but not in an unpleasant grey cold day sort of way.

I'll be honest. No idea about the week of the 29th currently."
