Once again the snow continues in the east - especially in parts of Scotland and the NE - you must be under an awful lot by now! Snow moving more into the Midlands too (though more on the eastern side. Some drifting as winds pick up.

Over night tonight into tomorrow, many people who have not seen snow yet (including snow starved central England) will see some = perhaps moderate in places.

It started hailing here at about 6am, Kitten. Was expecting some snow this morning, and it has settled but not very snowy, more like great balls of ice.

Am down in Kent.

It's FREEZING here! Haven't had the courage to look ou the window yet to see if we've had any more. Some parts of me hopes we have had as DH might consider working from home then as we've had a warning of heavy snow for today.

Ennis - the joys of living in a coastal county! I suspect it may have started off as rain over the warmer sea and frozen on its way to you.

pud1 - your turn may well be coming! Perhaps the odd shower today, more persistent from this evening if things pan out the way they are looking at the moment.

I'm out this morning, but later this afternoon I'll have a look at things like gas and grit supply. Will be interesting to look at the situation I think.

Not a sausage in Wiltshire. :(

Just looks like another hardcore frost which the kids will be moaning about all the way to school.

If it was snowy, it wouldn't be half bad!

The Romney Marsh looks misty and the sky very ominous this morning looking out from my bed. Am expecting something a bit more than yesterdays pathetic effort at snow today.

We have all the grit. We found the last broken bag of it in the garden bit at Homebase. They let us have it for a quid.

and we don't even need it!

(yet)

last year we couldn't drive up our drive until I'd spent about 3 hours with a shovel breaking up compacted ice. So I am keeping the grit for when we DO need it.

Sorry everyone.

About time for us Ennis. I know who to call on for grit now - but actually I've just remembered there's a grit box outside the front gate so we're alright Smile

warningsa down the whole eastern side and Cornwall

off out in a minute, then I'll have a really good look at the models. Would like to reiterate though that the snow risk spreads across the UK today into tomorrow.

Well we have a light dusting of snow, and freezing temps. The sky is grey and tiny grains keep drifting down. Maybe we will get more later!

I'm on Herts/Essex border. Was forecast for snow this morning but all we got was tiny flakes for about 20 minutes so you can barely even see it on the ground!

A bit disappointed for the kids but I suppose its just as well as the gritters havent been out yet (typical - you would have thought the council learned their lesson last year when the whole place ground to a standstill).

Had a slight dusting overnight here in Leicester. Sky has that 'full of snow' colour, especially looking to the East and the wind has got up as well.

We are in north Hampshire and my god it is cold! It didn't get above -2 yesterday and froze harder again overnight. And now it has started sleeting, lovely.

I need to pop out and was planning to walk but I shall be taking the car!

O have just been shopping in Stockport, I won't be properly defrosted before I have to go to work!

It is bitterly cold.
