The floor and ceiling are covered in food but it's worth it for these two pictures

Yes, she looked just like that () when she finally swallowed. I practically had to hose her down.

That worked .

Is that classed as messy? My dd has managed to get in a worse state than that nearly every mealtime since she was 7 months. She still doesn't eat spaghetti as well as your dd even now!

Very cute though.

And can we please have an explanation as to why you were nosing at tech?

AitchTwoOh · 07/05/2007 22:10

cheers. you know that bib's a goner, don't you?

Mess is what weaning's all about and has been since time immemorial!

Lovely pics btw

Aitch - I have become 'queen of stain removing' just lately! It took two baths to get the stains off my daughter, let alone the bib though!

No idea why tech is popping up Can'tSleepWon'tSleep, maybe I'm being technostalked?

Can'tSleepWon'tSleep - you should see what she did with sardines. Even the cat was appalled! She's only six and a half months bless her and she's on week three of sitting at the table and eating.

Mind you, her table manners are still better than my DH's sometimes.

wow, she's doing well for two weeks in. dd is still a bit bemused by spaghetti at 16 months.

Aitch - I know. We are so proud.

It's lovely to watch her reaction when you put down a new food, she picks it up, sniffs it, then just shoves it in. Sometimes it stays in, sometimes not but she will try anything (bit of a problem really, her first food was cat biscuits for this very reason )

These pictures are great - she's gorgeous! Can I just ask something please....

I am on week 2 of weaning my DS (started at 6 months). I am trying to do BLW and it is going ok however I am worried that I am going too slowly. Basically I am using my AK book and introducing foods at the same rate they would be if I had started at 4months (if that makes sense). So currently am giving just fruit and veg. Should I be introducing things quicker than this?

Thanks

totally do what you want... it's up to yourself. if there are loads of allergies in the family it might pay to be cautious, if not just get started with the spag bol if you want.

Thanks, I think I'll keep going slowly but can't wait to see him eat spag bol!
