my dd is 8 months and we have been BLW since 61/2 mo. she eats brilliantly but in the past week, i have been giving her yoghurt with a couple of spoons to see if she can feed herself. she manages a couple and then just chomps on the spoon. today however, i loaded the spoon for her and she ducked down till the spoon went in her mouth; i then held a loaded spoon out for her and she moved forward, mouth open and took it. is this just a natural reaction or do you think someone has been spoonfeeding her. i was really surprised she knew what to do.
sorry to waffle..

I'd guess she's learnt it herself - she knows that she needs to get the stuff onto the spoon and the spoon into her mouth but can't quite get the 2 together yet (and she wants that yogurt )

i think it's a natural reaction, too, like hatrick says she's watched you often enough.

phew - thank you! she has breakfast and lunch at nursery and i wondered if they had been spoonfeeding her there. i would be surprised as they seemed very supportive of BLW, even though they hadnt heard of it, and dd's keyworker researched it and everything.
must give the nursery and my girl more credit
