I live in Spain and here it is recommended that you wean with fruit first and then vegetables. I seem to remember when I weaned dd 6 years ago in the UK, it was the other way round. Any views?

Also when should I introduce water? I exclusively breastfed dd and honestly can't remember. Here in Spain they suggest earlier than UK, am wondering if it is to do with the heat. Ds is mixed fed.

We did veggies first as were told that if they have fruit first they get a taste for the sweeter stuff and won't eat the veggies. to be honest it hasn't made a difference with our DD as she loves all food. When we started weaning we started offering water in cups as well as she has been ff. Hope this helps

Lucy, it doesn't matter, and you can give water at any time, once the baby is taking food and drink other than milk
