1st birthday coming up!!!

hi, does any 1 have any good ideas for interesting party foods that are both child and adult friendly as it will be ds's 1st birthday next week and am throwing a teaparty.
there will be the obvious like sandwitches, sausage rolls, fairy cakes, jelly and icecream ect... and the birthday cake!!!! but all seems a bit plain and same old and not particularly interesting!!!
any suggestions will be gratefully accepted!

Ooooh I have a great recipe book (just looking at it now for the online shopping inspiration.

How about mini pitta pizzas - tomato puree, dried oregano, ham, diced courgette & red pepper and grated cheese.

fish shaped sandwiches with tuna and finely chopped cucumber in them.

Homemade fish fingers or chicken nuggets

Cheese straws

Roasted veg and fruit with complimenting dips.
