How much does your 1year old eat?

Give it to me in Ella's kitchen products!

My son was born on 75th centile but has zoomed up to 91st and his doctor thinks he has a problem with self-regulation so wants me to try to reduce his intake a little. Nothing drastic, just an experiment to see if he will eat a bit less without complaint. Trouble is, I haven't much of an idea what is normal for his age.

He currently has:

Milk
Breakfast
Snack
Lunch
Snack
Dinner
Milk

Which seems great, but the amounts he has at each meal are a lot larger than the fist- sized portions my health visitor suggests.

Haven't got a one year old but hope I can help a little. Firstly the weight centile is pretty meaningless unless they have measured his height too. Do you know his height centile?

What sort of things are you offering for meals and snacks? There might be a way we can tweak that, but doubt there is a problem Smile

Tbh I'm a bit surprised that the HV has suggested putting a one year old on a diet. Has she offered to come around and feed him the reduced portions? and deal with the fall out after?...
