Weaning

To BLW or not?

My lo is six months on Wednesday :)

She has been eating purees etc for about six weeks. I'm keen to start using BLW but could use some tips from folk who have done it before. This is my first child so i'm a total newbie.

Does the fact that I've already given puree mean that BLW will be difficult?

Tips welcome :)

As you've already started weaning you'll just be introducing finger foods. I don't think that would 'technically' be BLW. I don't think there's anything wrong with introducing more solid solids, iyswim.

BLW means not starting with puree. As the pp said though, adding finger foods is a good next step.Smile

Just add in finger foods, gradually increase the number of finger foods/lumpier foods as she gets more used to things.

Thats the approach I took with DS by the time he was 9 months he was just eating whatever we had.

we just added in finger foods alongside purees and then phased the purees out.
