Good Jar Food?

samsmuminbelfast · 14/09/2006 20:12

I started weaning my six month old about 4 weeks ago. I've been making fruit/veg purees etc and using baby cereals. We're going away for a week and I'll have to give him jar food, does anyone have any suggestions for good jar food - I'm looking for simply fruit and veg purees and simple protein meals without too many additives/bulking agents etc.
Thanks

THe Heinz pure fruit and veg ones are nice.
Nothing wrong with them (apart from price)

I steered clear of meat in jars.Turns my stomach.

Just gave lots of yoghurt as well and crusts to chew on.

my friend heated up some babylicious lasagne today in our house, it smelled brilliant and had really complex flavours. i would have sworn that she had cooked it and liquidised it herself. now, when it came to the mess, however...

I took a variety of jars away last week, but the only savoury type that my little one would accept was "PlumBaby" brand. He was happy with all the puddings though. We just gave him stuff like cheese on toast instead.

When mine were at that age we sometimes gave them Hipp Organic. They were the only ones they would tolerate after eating 'real food'!!
