Baby refusing solids

Hi my baby is nearly 7 months old, EBF till she was 5.5 months. She has been weaning great then recently started liking food less and less. She would have few spoons then decide she's had enough, she seals her mouth and turns her head away. When I get her to bf she feasts on it for at least an hour . She's waking up in the night crying and feeds for a long time again. You could tell she's hungry but she just wants the breast. Please help me. Any advice on what do?

Could she be teething or coming down with something? That always put DS off his food. The hot weather may be affecting her as well and making her thirstier.

Have you tried putting a few pieces of food in front of her and letting her feed herself? She may prefer that.

What sorts of foods are you giving her?

Thanks for your reply. I don't think she's teething. Her gums aren't swollen and she seems very happy generally. I make her puréed foods from Annabel K's recipes which she likes but I'm not sure if I am offering her too much milk to the point that she's full from it. The problem is that it is not keeping her full enough to help sleep through the night. How often do you offer milk at this stage? Today I gave her slightly less milk to see if she will accept more solids.
Thanks

I would definitely try some finger foods, put it in her hand and some on the tray. I did a mixture of spoon feeding and finger foods from 6 months and at 7 months ds refused to eat from a spoon from a bit and only fed himself.
He did relent after a couple of weeks as he loves veg soup and yogurts, but I did have to be more inventive till he would accept a spoon again.

Yes, I would give some finger foods a try too and just see what she thinks. She may prefer a variety of textures as well as the opportunity to feed herself.

I'd keep the milk feeds unchanged at this stage. It's early days and completely normal for her to just eat small amounts of food and rely on milk for everything else.
