My baby has a sweet tooth

ds3 (6 months) has been having pureed fruit and veg for about 4 weeks now. He's passionate about his mashed bananas and apple mush, but flatly refuses courgettes, beans, potato, etc. Carrot is OK. I plan to try sweet potato and pumpkin etc, but am slightly concerned. Will he grow into savoury things when the food gets a bit more interesting? Has anybody experienced this? His big brothers ate pretty much anything, so this is new to me.

All babies have naturally sweet teeth. Persist with variations , perhaps add more carrot to the other more bland flavours then next time slightly less.

Add the fish with sweetpotato, or butternut squash and beef mince, carrot & courgette, chicken and apple and so on.

Parsnip & banana went down well my my sweet toothed DS as did carrot with a little orange juice, swede & pear & chicken with banana. Still can't get him to eat peas or beans (or anything green for that matter) however well I try to disguise it!

My little one loves chicken with papaya. And he's also enjoyed potato, parsnip and pear together. Plus in the "Plum baby" range, there's a parsnip, apple and pea which got a lot better reaction from him than most jarred stuff.
