Finger Food?

My dd (9 months) wont put anything in her mouth so am having lots of trouble getting her to take any finger food
She is fine from a spoon but just doesnt pick things up and put them in her mouth
I have tried just putting bits on her tray (ie toast at breakfast and fruit at other times) but she pays no attention to them and throws them on the floor
Am concerned that she will be going to university and still eating from a jar - Any suggestions??

pmsl. Just keep offering, keep showing her you eating (join in with family meals etc) and she'll get the hang of it when she is ready.

I think it is very rare for them to start uni on jars

Try putting finger foods on the floor when she is playing. Obviously supervise her closely so she's not crawling off with things in her mouth etc. I know a baby who was the same, but when he wasn't hungry he was happy to see finger foods as toys and got into it that way.
