7mo feeding and weaning. Struggling!!

My DD is 7mo and has been EBF. We started with purées then switched to BLW when it was clear that she was spoon averse! She seems to really enjoy her food and is eating or attempting most of what I give her.

The thing I'm worried about is milk, I've always fed on demand but trying to fit round meals and naps is tricky. She seems to be feeding more than ever!!

Typical day:
5.30 ish feed and then back to sleep in our bed til about 6.30/7
7 ish up and offer breakfast
8.30 feed pre nap
10 awake and play or do things
11.30 I offer a feed, sometimes will take a little, sometimes a lot- should I be offering here? This is
prefood!
12.00 lunch
12.30 feed before nap
2ish awake and play
4ish feed, sometimes sleeps depending on naps earlier
5 offer dinner
5.30- start bed time routine, bath, play with daddy, nappy off time, book
6.15 ish feed to sleep

Night time can vary but usually 1 or 2 feeds a night.

What do you all think? Obviously it's all a bit ish and I don't know if I should be offering milk or feeding on demand. Sometimes she seems so distracted by playing that she forgets then feeds with gusto when I offer.

Sounds like my 7mo timings but yours naps better Smile. Blw and ebf. I also have a couple of feeds overnight. Generally still bf before food. Food before one is just for fun is generally what I go by. Give it a couple of months and they'll be having more food.

Have EBF and BLW both of mine now aged 1&3. You are still early days with the weaning and sounds like its going well. I used to prioritise milk feeds til nearer 12 months as I felt this was more important. Your baby will cut down on her milk when ready. My DD didn't eat hardly any solids unil around 10 months but is now loving her food at 14 months and her bf's have dropped down to once or twice a day.

I'll start BLW with my son at 6mths, in a month or so, and am planning to look at it as basically completely supplementary to EBF until he's at least one. That is to say, I'm not electing him to be taking significantly less breast milk that he already does, IYSWIM.

Ok, thanks all.

I guess I just can't see how she'll ever be off the boob at the moment and in April I go back to work!!

Naps are only good because I lie with her while she naps. Confused
