I am a vegan and although I am 'happy' for hubby and nursery to give my LO whatever, I will be giving her vegan food as much as possible. My question is, how do I give her iodine? Can I get iodine supplement drops from Holland and Barratt for example? I think I can cover everything else...any other vegans out there with tips?

You could try seaweed but you'd have to watch the salt. Maybe make sure she doesn't have anything else salty that day which should be easy if you're not giving her fish or cheese. I was vegan before trying for a baby but have been eating fish while pregnant and breastfeeding, mainly because of iodine and omegas. If she is under 1 and you are breastfeeding you could take supplements maybe? I do on non-fish days.

The vegan society has lots of into on child nutrition . Google www.rawfoodfamily.com . They are vegan but also eat mostly raw. They have some free recipes on their website but also e-book to buy. They children (I think they have five) are strong healthy happy .
