Tips for weaning a reflux baby?

Hi all
LO is 6 months, had reflux since birth and currently trialling neocate for suspected cows milk allergy...
I've tried her with baby rice and it seems to go down okay. However I've tried avocado, banana and sweet potato (not at the same time!) and she puked them all up..
Does anyone have any tips on foods to try for a refluxer to help her keep it down?!
Thanks!

Have you tried mixing the baby rice with the mashed avocado/banana/sweet potato/etc, then adding a bit of formula/water to thin it a bit? My 6mo is also a major refluxer and we started weaning about a week ago. I can't believe the difference it has made; he is a different baby. Also if you are trying finger foods, organix rice cakes seem to go down well with mine. I've also given him sticks of pear and apple to munch on. Good luck!

My son had awful reflux but we did baby led weaning which agreed with him much better. I also weaned him this way early from 5 months. Yoghurt and anything liquidy made him sick for months after but anything solid like meat/bread/veg etc was completely fine and he loved it.

Thanks all (thanks for bumping Julie!)

I did think about BLW but I'm so scared of her choking.. My issue, so I need to get over it! I might try some toast tomorrow! Jess, do you cook the apple before you give them it to soften it?

I actually gave her some of a jar of baby food tonight (sweet potato bake!) She wolfed it down and she didn't puke!

She was gagging when I gave her my homemade sweet potato, so I'm wondering if because it was thicker than out of a jar, that may have made her sick too... Something she needs to get used to though.
