Is there any history of nut allergy in your family? My DH has a nut allergy so we have been cautious with ds. As far as I'm aware it's more of a choking thing if there's no history, so peanut butter might be better to start with?

Avoid whole nuts because they are a choking hazard. But things like peanut butter are ok as long as there isn't a family history of nut allergies. So from 6 months like most food

Just went to a weaning talk and they said from 6 months you can give smooth peanut butter but no whole nuts until 5 years old (choking risk) and no chopped nuts either because they are an aspiration risk.
