I've just started weaning DS2 who has been breast fed for the last 6 months. He is now doing LOADS of dirty nappies - haven't counted but at least 6-8 a day eg we've had 2 already and its only 8.30am. Is this normal? Or does it mean he has an intolerance to something I've been feeding him? Sad

My weaning i mean introducing solids, not stopping breast feeding

I asked this a couple of weeks ago on the bf section! Yes, it's completely normal but could also coincide with teeth coming through. Hard work isn't it changing all those pooey nappies - don't know why it should be different from just wet ones, but it is!

Thank you pigeon pie. Do you knwo when it will settle down?
I'm a lazy mum who uses disposable nappies ( oh the shame Blush) so its no bother to me. Just his wee bum is geting sore Sad

If his bottom is getting sore then it certainly sounds like teeth I'm afraid. DS's sore bottom came and went - we had dirty nappies for about 5 days and then they cleared up, only to reappear again for a few days in the last week (I think his top ones are coming now!) - Bepanthen is pretty good at clearing up nappy rash.
