I wouldnt give the rusk tbh - have you seen how much sugar is in it? Why not try something like banana instead

I see what you mean about the sugar, I only tried them because they dissolve, and as she's not 6 months yet I was worried about her choking. Any other advice for first finger foods?

It's not really a question of whether she can eat a rusk, more whether she is ready for solids. Can she sit up well? is she taking an interest in your food and grabbing for it?
If she is ready then good first finger foods are:
cucumber sticks
melon fingers
steamed veg eg carrot broccoli cauliflower
bread/toast (after 6 months)
dried apricots
bits of cheese (after 6 months)

As well as being full of sugar, rusks contain gluten which NHS strongly advise is avoided till after 6 months. I know she's close to 6 months but just wanted to point this out.

I agree with trend, if she's showing signs of readiness then try something like steamed or roasted veg or some easy to hold fruit and see how she gets on.

OP read your post as 3.5. Now I reread it and put my Shock face away Grin

Just thought you would like signs of readiness.

6 months is only a guide and if your Lo meets all of the signs its fine to start blw, but there is very little you can give then apart from fruit or veg until they are 6 months. As mentioned above, rusks contain gluten which can be an allergy risk, so best to wait before offering them again but if it was me, I'd stick them in the bin Smile
