I gave ds his first finger food today, some cucumber sticks. But of course being 6 months old he just dropped them all on the floor!
What do you do if you are doing blw and your baby drops cucumber sticks on the floor? do you just discard? suspect I would need a constant supply of finger food!

I have a splashmat under the high chair which I clean after every meal so if food lands on that, I give it straight back. Or give it a rinse under the tap if its fruit/veg sticks?

Clean tea towel or muslin cloth on the knee can catch some from slipping down the chair. Also safety pinned a muslin cloth stretched under the chair - was getting pissed off everyone walking food into the carpet......x

I always assumed this was one reason to put a clean sheet or similar on the floor, then you can just pick it up and put it back in front of them Smile
